In the long history of the ancient printing industry, "offset printing" is obviously not a virtuous elder, but it is indeed the most dynamic and charming mainstay in the contemporary printing industry: from the beginning of the world Overprint accuracy and perfect image fidelity have attracted public attention. With the rapid progress of the printing industry, the process is becoming more and more perfect, and the characteristics of the delicate tone of the offset printing are gradually emerging. What is even more gratifying is that the production process that incorporates color management greatly widens the originally narrow and monotonous color gamut, and the FM screening technology is just tailored for offset printing, which greatly improves the quality of the final product. Not only that, but its own industrialized production speed is already the best weapon to adapt to modern society, so these advantages gradually push offset printing to a new height and occupy the leading position in the printing industry.
Although the market share of offset printing has also fluctuated slightly in recent years, it will remain at around 70% overall. Whether it is the continuous catch-up of concave, convex, screen printing, or the leading surpass of the new generation of digital printing with CTP technology as the core, it has not fundamentally shaken the leading position of offset printing. To put it simply, the above-mentioned methods do not have the "king of the king" for a certain period of time: some are insurmountable in production speed, some are unable to break through the bottleneck of environmental protection, and some are not yet equipped with widely promoted prices and talent allocation basis. What is needed in the modern market is: the core technology of molding is cheap and good, and it is best to have sufficient personnel reserves. Although the statement is too practical, objective facts are constantly explaining: Only by continuously raising higher or even harsher requirements for related links such as technical equipment can we win the favor of the market.
The most important equipment in offset printing production is the core printing machinery. In recent years, due to the development of technology, the production technology of offset printing machines has reached an unprecedented height. However, just as any product has its own life cycle, there have been many similar changes in the printing industry: lead to offset printing, 01S to 08 machine , Flattening, flattening, rounding, rounding, photoengraving, laser phototypesetting, monochromatic machine, multicolor machine, etc., so although the essence of offset printing itself has not changed, but if it is not changed in many details, it will also Make your advantage disappear.
In what areas should you work hard? If there is no suitable way of thinking, you may wish to look at the "Imported Provisional Tax Rate Adjustment Table" newly released in 2006. The regulations make it clear that my country will adjust the provisional tax rate on the import and export of some commodities from November 1, 2006. Among them, the provisional import tariff rate related to offset printing equipment (including ink color control device, ink volume adjustment device, ink fountain body and other constituent departments) (item 54 of the "Important Provisional Tax Rate Adjustment Table") will be Reduced from the original 6% to zero tariffs.
The implementation of this measure will increase the production efficiency of offset printing and reduce energy consumption. It is foreseeable that the reduction of tariffs will make more offset printing production enterprises more sophisticated in controlling the amount of ink, thereby greatly improving the overall level of the printing market. Therefore, we can fully consider before manufacturing and producing offset printing machinery, such as the use of ink volume remote control devices in the ink volume control point, so that the produced models meet the market demand more. At the same time, the device's "zero tariff" policy will also benefit machine manufacturers who are interested in applying the device, and use this shareholder style to improve the level of offset press manufacturing.
After reading the policy guide, the following is a brief analysis of the common misunderstandings in the design of several footprint machines.
(1) Production speed. The general speeds of modern sheetfed offset presses are 15200 prints/h, 15500 prints/h, 16000 prints/h, 18000 prints/h, etc. Of course, the higher the speed, the more difficult and costly the design will increase. At the same time, it should be noted that this speed has basically reached the limit. If you want to increase it greatly, you should consider changing to the reel feeding method.
At the same time, many companies that choose sheet printing methods usually do not use full horsepower for the protection of machinery; if the speed is very high, then they can choose the rotary type. Based on this idea, it is not necessary to regard "improving speed" as important, and customers will take what they need according to their needs.
(2) The length of the ink path. Another topic that is widely discussed in the design of offset presses is: is it better to use a long ink path or a short ink path?
is actually not as simple as the literal meaning: the distance of the long ink path is long, the distance of the short ink path is short, the important index is the ratio of the sum of the area of all the ink rollers to the printing plate area, the so-called inking coefficient. In the current equipment, the ink roller of the short ink path device is designed to be thicker than the long ink path ink roller, which also narrows the gap between the two to a certain extent. However, the rolling of the long ink road has passed more times, and the effect will be better. However, with the continuous improvement of ink fineness, the short ink path has fully met the objective requirements.
For prints with a large amount of ink, it will still put forward higher requirements for ink transfer, but at this point, mechanical equipment manufacturers do not have to stick to the rules, and can also complete design ideas according to customer needs.
(3) Drying device. We are not talking about UV inks here, but about drying devices for general inks. Offset machines currently use infrared lamps for drying. There are two types of lengthening and no lengthening, and the price varies greatly.
However, if you make such a calculation: even if the production speed is as low as 12,000 prints/h, then the time for each sheet to pass through the lamp is only 0.005 minutes, and if it is averaged to the print per mm, it can basically be ignored. However, if the extended type (usually about three meters) is used, the drying can be fully completed, and the ink effect of the printed product is very good.
Therefore, in the production of equipment, it is not a result of blindly pursuing the price.
The above are only some of the auxiliary parts in the printing machine. It is not difficult to see further that if the manufacturer can achieve personalized design and manufacture according to customers, it will make the product more suitable for the market.
In addition to the above-mentioned internal work needs to be practiced, there are also some extension work that needs to be carried out at the same time.
(1) Joint with other traditional printing methods. Offset printing naturally has its unique advantages, but there are still many practical situations that it can't cope with, such as: the range of the substrate is narrow, the thickness of the ink layer is not enough, and so on. Therefore, it is very necessary to add helpers when dealing with the ever-changing printing projects.
Screen printing plus offset printing can achieve a thick ink layer and can achieve a predetermined accuracy; gravure printing plus offset printing can not only achieve good results, but also increase its anti-counterfeiting; flexo printing plus offset printing is a good partner to achieve packaging printing ; There are three combinations and so on. So this needs to be taken into account when designing the offset press, leaving room for online.
(2) Collaboration with digital printing represented by CTP. Digital equipment such as CTP is the future development trend, so joint with them will be very beneficial to prolong the life cycle of offset printing. Now the comparative molding technology is applied. Here is an example.
A foreign company uses a multi-unit and multi-paper structure web offset press, with high printing speed and a maximum printing layout of 72 pages. Compared with the traditional plate-making method, the fully-automatic large-format CTP system is more suitable for the requirements of high-speed and high-volume plate volume of web offset printing enterprises, so the final speed has more than doubled.
It is not difficult to find that only the design idea of internal and external repair will make the equipment itself invincible.
